The PCRx PROGRAM produces accurate estimates of prescription spending
in any geographic area within the USA. It is designed for interactive
use by a trained market analyst familiar with census data sources.
PCRx is an acronym for "per capita annual demand for prescriptions"...
both in terms of dollar spending and scripts.
The program arrives at estimates of prescription demand through
analysis of the key demographic characteristics of a local area, i.e. the age profile, gender, and race.
The data sources employed in the PCRx PROGRAM are
survey research by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,
the latest Census of Retail Trade, monthly retail sales estimates
by the U.S. Commerce Department, and published trade association
and press estimates.
The program is available as a leased subscription, and the demand estimates generated by the program are updated annually. |
